HP ENVY Photo 6230 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I receive attachments form Clients in pdf format. These are bank statements anything from 4 - 16 pages, I open in a browser, edge, file> Print, select the various print to option, Duplex and the page range, it prints the first page and subsequent pages prints only the header/title and footer, no transactions printed.

Used both Edge & Firefox with same result.

Saved to pdf both MS print to pdf and another reader, same result

Tried Smart Print, same result

Tried printing a single page, again no transactions

Used another app to create a multi page pdf, all printed OK

In email history opened an old attachment bank statement that printed fine at the time in duplex, now has the same problems

HP emailed me a new printer setup which I did

Still same problems but now If I save the attachment to the local PC I can then print in duplex via Smart

Hi @Palco,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a printing issue with your HP ENVY Photo 6230 All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist you better:

  • The document which you are printing is it a Secure document?
  • Can you make a duplex copy and check?
  • Are you able to duplex print other documents from the PC?

While you respond to that, you may refer to this Document(To know Print on both sides of the paper).

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

They are not secure docs, I receive pdf statements from clients with various banks, I have received attachments from the same sources for many years, they very from 4 pages to 10

I had the same problem about a month ago cleared up with no input from me

I open the doc in Edge or Firefox

1) Prints the first page then prints only the header and footer in subsequent pages, no transaction details

2) Single page print, Header & Footer only

3) Save as the doc to the local PC

4) Duplex print same problems as above

5) Print via HP Smart duplex, it prints correctly

6) Received 3 mails with attachments, two different banks, one opened in Edge printed duplex without issue the other two failed as above.  There has been no change to the format of this banks pdf docs

Yes its still not functioning, just tried a bank statement of 14 pages, A4/Duplex prints header & footer only no content

Print to HP Envy

Then tried print to Smart

All with same issue

These are not protected docs

Its got to the stage where I am considering a new Printer from another maker, this HP device is about 1 year old

Connected up an old Epson printer, the bank statement printed just fine.

Am now awaiting the arrival of a new Epson printer, once received I will dispose of the HP device and cancel the ink monthly sup
