Try these steps:
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
- Unplug the printer's power cord from the electrical outlet.
- Wait about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the outlet and turn the printer on.
Check for Blockages:
- Open all accessible printer doors and compartments.
- Check for paper jams or any obstructions.
- Remove any foreign objects that might be causing the problem.
Check Printer Connections:
- Ensure all cables (power and data) are securely connected.
- If using a network connection, ensure the printer is properly connected to the network.
Update Firmware and Software:
- Ensure the printer's firmware is up to date. Download updates from the HP Support website.
- Make sure the printer drivers and software are updated on your connected computer.
Reset Printer to Factory Settings:
- Caution: This will erase all settings and configurations on your printer.
- Navigate to the Setup menu on the printer’s touchscreen.
- Go to Printer Maintenance or Service, and then select Restore or Reset to Factory Settings.
