hi

I cant do any set up on my app and printer

every time I try to get to set up area on the app site it blocks me 

 

says :

This site can’t provide a secure connection

ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

I see from your post that you are getting an error while setting up your HP Printer. No worries, I'll be glad to help you.

 

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Have you checked if the date and time on your PC is set to correct?

Have you tried to use different browser? Have you tried to reset the browser settings.

Have you tried accessing EWS using a different browser?

have you tried to disable SSL?

 

If you're using Google chrome, please try these steps here:

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click the Chrome menu button. ...
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Scroll down to System or enter Proxy into the Search settings field.
  5. Click Open proxy settings.
  6. Click the Advanced tab.
  7. Check or uncheck the options for Use SSL 2.0 and Use SSL 3.0.

If the issue persists, Here are the possible solutions for fix ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH error.

 

1. Check your internet connection

Due to a poor internet connection, the browser sometimes triggers this error, to fix the error either check your internet connection or contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

 

2. Delete Browser Cache and Cookies.

Browser cache and cookies are sometimes the first reason for all SSL Certificate related error, delete all the browser cookies and cache.

 

3. Try different with different browsers: 

If you're using chrome, you can try Firefox 

 

If nothing works, you can try updating the printer firmware: 

 

Let's try updating the printer firmware. If your printer connected wirelessly, make sure to temporary connect the device with USB and then follow the link to install the latest firmware update on your printer from our HP support website. Alternatively you can also try to update the printer firmware directly from the printer control panel.

Then, Temporarily disable firewall software on the computer

  1. Open Control Panel. ...
  2. Select the System and Security link. ...
  3. Choose Windows Firewall. ...
  4. On the left side of the "Windows Firewall" screen, select Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
  5. Select the bubble next to Turn off Windows Firewall
