Hi @snorkmitzumi,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding EWS Password Issues on HP Color Laser 150NW Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Resetting the EWS Password

Try Default Credentials: Ensure you're using the correct default credentials to log in. For many HP printers, the default username is "admin," and the password might be required from the Network Configuration Report.

Print a Network Configuration Report:

  • Power on your printer.
  • For printers without a control panel, press and hold the Resume/Cancel button for 10 seconds to print a report. This report might contain your current credentials or the WPS Security PIN needed for login.

Attempt to Reset Password via EWS:

  • Type the printer's IP address into a web browser to access the EWS. If a website security certificate displays, click "Continue."
  • If already logged in, navigate to the "Security" tab. Locate "System Security" and search for "System Administrator" settings to attempt changing the password.

Performing a Factory Reset

If you are unable to reset the password through the EWS, you may need to perform a factory reset on your printer:

Locate the Reset Option:

  • Look for instructions specific to your printer model about performing a factory reset. This is typically found in the manual or the HP support website.

Perform a Factory Reset:

  • Factory resetting may involve specific button presses or sequences. This process will reset all user-level settings but might not reset the admin password.

I hope this helps.
