HP DeskJet 4155e running on Windows 11 and a 2.4Ghz wireless network
I am NOT referring to the WPS or WiFi Direct password
I am NOT referring to my home WiFi network SSID Password
I am NOT referring to the PIN number on the sticker on the back of my printer
I am NOT referring to the default WiFi direct password of 12345678
I AM referring to entering the URL of my printer into the web address bar and trying to access the Embedded Web Server of my printer. URL example - http://192.168.1.xxx
I cannot click on any of the options without a pop-up window that says,
"A custom printer password has been set. Enter the password or contact your IT administrator to access the printer's web interface."
I have tried entering ALL the above passwords/PIN numbers as well as Reset the printer to DEFAULT settings, uninstalling and reinstalling the printer and all software. I have also updated the printer's firmware to latest version. And I power-cycled my router and printer after resetting to factory defaults.
I have entered so many passwords and numbers that I am now locked out. I got the final pop-up that says,
"Incorrect Printer Password - The password you entered was not correct. For greater security, the authentication session is locked. Try again later."
1. I never set this password. I never asked for this password. WHO knows this password??
2. How can I RESET this password?
