I know this question has been asked before, but I still do not have a solution. Easy Start is not very easy if the buttons don'e work.
This is on Windows 10. I can see the Continue button, but it is grayed out. I can't see anything else on the screen that needs to be clicked to make it appear.
There is a blue progress bar? at the top that only has proceeded about 5-10% of the length, but does not go any farther.
What's the solution?

Hi @ybrevic,
Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand, you're having issues installing printer drivers on your Windows 10 PC.
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you,
Let's try uninstalling and reinstalling printer drivers following these steps:
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Envy printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
- Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
- Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
- Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
To reinstall, click here.
Let me know how that pans out
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And feel free to ask any other queries as well,
Considering, this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

I did not need to go through the reinstall process (which I have done numerous time now). When I installed this printer on another laptop I found a checkbox that was not visible on this unit. This must be a display issue, as when I clicked in the area the box should be, it eventually checked and I could proceed.
So when that was complete, I actually managed to print a test page! Unfortunately, when I tried to do it some time later, I continue to be in a viscious cycle of everything seeming to be working, then not. And this is the same whether I try to use wireless or usb connection
For example, using the Scan and Print Doctor, it finds both are set up. Then when it trys to communicate, it says that the printer cant be found. This is even though showing the wireless details gives the ip address of the printer.
In another case, if I get to a point where it says print a test page, I then get an Printer needs attention message, so I go through the whole stop spooler/delete the system32 files etc, and it still does not work.
I also have issues downloading HP smart. It either gives me a can not install message, or goes through the sequence of checking filles, ... almost ready... downloading, but never downloads.
This has become a circle of frustatration, and the printer will be returned shortly if there is no solution. Please do not suggest re-installing as I have been through the cycle many times. It seems that once it does print, I should not have to reinstall each time I want to do it again.

Hi @ybrevic,
Thank you for responding,
It's great to have you back 😉
I really appreciate you've tried possible steps.
I will send you a private message with reset steps. Please try those steps to bring the printer back to its factory condition.
Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile
Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
If the issue, still persists it could be the Windows PC issue. I would suggest you create a new user account and try installing printer drivers.
Let me know,
Cheers!
