HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

The Envy 4520 Printer was performing automatic duplex printing, but recently stopped. Now the printer prints only on 1 side of the page, followed by a pop-up window with "Print on Both Sides Instructions". The instructions require the manual reinsertion of the printed page into the tray, then click Continue in the dialog box.

Prior to performing automatic duplex printing I did set the automatic duplex print capabilities as standard by doing the following:

* Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers,
* click the printer icon, then click Printer Properties,
* Click the Device Settings tab,
* Set the Automatic Duplexing Unit as installed, and click Apply followed by OK.

When printing a two-sided document is performed, after doing the above, the automatic duplex printing does not occur.  The pop-up window with "Print on Both Sides Instructions" appears with the instructions requiring the manual reinsertion of the printed page into the tray.

After the automatic duplex printing failure, I checked the Printer Properties, Device Settings tab, and found that the Automatic Duplexing Unit was changed from installed to uninstalled.
