Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is a recurring and very frustrating issue that started soon after purchase two years ago. It always starts with going

'offline' but previously I have eventually managed to fix it after hours of fiddling, re-installing of software and drivers etc

This time it refuses completely to communicate wirelessly with the PC although everything is fully connected/recognised on the network via the router. I have spent nearly two days now trying everything available on the web, reinstalling printer, software and drivers etc, but just end up going round in circles via both Windows  and HP Smart. I can get Windows to find the printer but not to connect to it, while Smart doesn't even find it at all.  Thus neither recognises the other. I eventually got a driver to work but the 'offline' was just replaced by 'error' when trying to print a trial page. Smart still didn't see anything.

I have now had to give up and connect via USB - which is a big nuisance for my wireless set-up and for other users - so I want my wireless connectivity back and working efficiently. HP and MS really need to sort this out as I see I am far from alone with such issues.

Any ideas pls? I really don't want to chuck it out and return to Epson or similar.

NB The stupid thing is that I have an identical printer located 800 miles away in France which I can connect to and print to immediately via the internet ... while two feet to my right seems to be a far greater problem!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
