Hi - I've just purchased an HP6120e as a network printer - my wifes laptop running windows 10 prints fine but mine running windows 11 wont print at all - I get a very quick message saying no pages printed. There appears to be no plug and play in windows 11 so I cannot use a usb cable to run the printer either - I cannot download and install the HP printer drivers - any help greatly appreciated - thanks - Andrew

I understand your HP ENVY 6120e prints correctly from a Windows 10 laptop, but will not print at all from your Windows 11 laptop and shows a “no pages printed” message. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.
Confirm both devices are on the same network
Make sure your Windows 11 laptop and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Mixed networks or guest Wi-Fi can prevent Windows 11 from sending print jobs.
Restart the printer and Windows 11 laptop
Turn the printer off and unplug it for 60 seconds.
Restart the laptop, then power the printer back on to refresh network communication.
Remove and re-add the printer in Windows 11
Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
Remove the HP 6120e if listed, then select Add device and let Windows search again.
Add the printer manually by IP address
In Printers & scanners, choose Add device, then select Add manually.
Enter the printer’s IP address and select the generic HP or AirPrint driver if prompted.
Verify the printer status in the queue
Open the printer queue and make sure the printer is set as Default and shows Online.
Clear any stuck or paused print jobs before retrying.
Install HP Smart for Windows 11
Open the Microsoft Store and install the HP Smart app.
Use HP Smart to add the printer and complete driver installation automatically.
Check Windows 11 printer permissions
Go to Settings > Privacy & security and ensure printing and device access are enabled.
Restricted permissions can cause jobs to cancel immediately.
Disable Windows 11 “Let Windows manage my default printer”
In Printers & scanners, turn off this option.
Manually set the HP 6120e as the default printer.
Test printing from HP Smart
Print a test page directly from the HP Smart app.
If this works, the issue is related to Windows print configuration rather than the printer.
Confirm USB setup limitation
For HP+ printers like the 6120e, USB setup is restricted and Wi-Fi setup through HP Smart is required.
This behavior is expected and not a fault with Windows 11.
I hope this helps.
