Hello,

I moved from France to Singapore and need a change in regional setting for my printer...

Already have a screenshot of the details.

Thank you for posting your query.

 

I'd be glad to help you, please note that HP Printers use different ink cartridges in different region and to use the ink cartridges sold in the current region, we need to change the region settings on the printer.

 

I request you to please get back to me with the following information, so that I can help you change the region settings on the printer.

 

Do you still have the ink cartridges for both the regions

Do you have a printer USB cable?

Which OS on PC, is it Windows or Mac?

Do you have the printer full feature software and drivers installed on your PC?

Hello 

 

Yes I have everything. i tried plenty of things such as:

- factory reset of the printer

- changed the printer settings to Singapore

- installed HP Smart and ensured the location is still singapore

- bought ink cartidges on the HP website (HP 804)

It did not work. 

 

I tried activating the HP Ink service. It did not work. 

 

How can we please move forward?

Welcome to HP Support Community!   

   

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.   

   

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.   

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.   

  

To access your private messages, simply click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile name.

To perform a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:  

   

1. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer.  

2. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region/country from where the printer was purchased originally or the new region/country to which you want to reset it to.  

3. Make sure HP Smart App is installed too.
