My Envy 7155 printer has stopped booting. I've tried power cycling multiple times but no success. Cannot find anything useful in the knowledge base. Cannot get a hold of a tech support engineer. I paid $20 for a month of support hoping that would get me a phone number but that phone number won't let me passed the automated assistance. I hooked up the USB cable hoping to install some firmware to get the printer to boot but the printer is at such a low-level state that it is not seen by HP software. My warrantee expired just weeks ago! This feels like planned obsolescence. If I cannot get this fixed it is unlikely that I will ever buy any HP product again. I'm hoping that HP can redeem themselves by having tech support respond to this question with some useful information.

@Jay_G24,
I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
Here's the deal: I powered up the Envy 7155 printer in order to describe exactly what the front panel screen looks like. After I plugged in the printer and was observing the screen -- I touched the screen -- and it booted up! I cannot explain it. Must have power cycled it 20 to 30 times prior. Can now access printer and can see that the firmware version is:
o PALFASPPXN003.2204E.00
which seems newer than what I downloaded yesterday.
I will likely click on ACCEPT AS SOLUTION even though your answer provided no new information. Just to close this ticket out. Will have to figure out what to do about that $20 I spent on support yesterday. The chances of me buying another HP product are close to zero.
Sincerely,
The Silver Surfer

Hi @silver0surfer,
I'd like to help!
I understand the printer will not boot up.
To assist better -
Is there any lights on the printer when you plug it in?
Try the below suggestions
Reset the product
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware -HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
If the issue persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
