an Update on the printer, according to tech support from the number provided in this forum in a private message, is a firmware error, and there is no solution.

I'm facing the EXACT same issue you have pictured, all from a simple power flicker that happened a couple of days ago.  It can't be recognized by any of my machines and there's seemingly no way to force a hard reset or push firmware to the printer.  I've power cycled this thing several times and it is undetectable to HP Smart and my device manager.  I'm beyond frustrated with this, as I have labels to print for my orders and this has derailed my weekend.  I'm not buying a new printer for something that should have an easy fix.
