I have a DSL modem, ASUS RT-AC88U router, HP desktop running Windows 10. I used the Wireless Setup Wizard on the printer and got the following message "No problems found. Congratulaltions onthe successful setup of your wireless printer." The PC and the printer cannot connect. What am I doing wrong?

It worked!!! That is the most beautiful scan ever. I never could have done it without your help.
Will I be able to connect wirelessly or by ethernet?

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-7640-e-all-in-one-printer-series/6617267/mod...
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
Hope that helps.

I have mixed results. I uninstalled the hardware and software and started againwith the full driver install.
The good: The printer is installed and set as a default. I can print from both my PC and Apple mobile. Thank you, thank you.
The bad: I cannot scan. The Print and Scan Doctor cannot find the printer.
Are there different drivers for the printer and the printer - scanner?

Hi @HPCustomer6,
Thanks for your feedback.
Can you try using a TCP/IP port?
Create a TCP IP port
1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer's IPv4 address (you can also tap on the wireless icon on the Front panel of your Printer to get the IP address)
2. On your PC, go to Control Panel, from Devices and Printers, right click the printer and left click Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.
3. Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.
4. Type in the proper IP address for the printer.
This video resource will show you how to do it:
Create & Use TCP IP port
Note that you can ALWAYS revert back to the original port that the HP software installed by selecting the HP port under the Ports tab (in Printer Properties)
Let us know if that works

Thank you again, I appreciate your help.
I will give it a try tomorrow. I tried reinstalling but ended up wih an ethernet connection, could not get the wired or wireless. I did notice that if I follow the link that you sent or 123.hp.com what installs is "Basic Device Software" even if I click the full version.

HI @HPCustomer6
If the FULL feature software is downloaded, during the install, even if it says "Installing Basic Software", the FULL software is being installed.
You do have a printer icon on the desktop after installation right?
Thanks.
