Envy 7855 - wired/wireless toggling

Hi,

I have a HP Envy Photo 7855 all-in-one printer.

I noticed that the wireless network disconnected when I plugged an ethernet cable from my router into the printer so I could print from my HP desktop.

Our current environment includes one wired-only HP desktop, three wireless-only HP notebooks, and four mobile devices.

What is the easiest way for me to toggle between wired & wireless printing via my desktop? I don't want to have to plug and unplug the ethernet cable each time I want to print from the desktop.

Welcome to HP support community.

Printer can not be connected to both Wired and Wireless connection at the same time.

I would suggest connect the desktop to the wireless connection and use the printer.

Hi Sandy,

As I mentioned, my desktop is wired-only; I cannot connect the desktop to the wireless network.

Other suggestions?

This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
2. Select the country.
3. Enter the serial of your device.
4. Select the country from the drop-down.
5. Click on "Show Options".
6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
