Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Connected on 2 of the 3 laptops ok. On the third (Lenovo) laptop ,loaded HP Smart ok but the "add a printer" in settings printers and scanners, can find the printer but can not connect and sends a status unavailable message. Strange thing is it can receive a scanned document from the printer. Have removed and downloaded the printer driver twice with out success.

Any ideas ? Richard.

From another web site I came across someone else who solved this problem by installing a HP Universal Printer Driver.

https://www8.hp.com/us/en/solutions/business-solutions/printingsolutions/upd.html

Some how this enabled my Lenovo using Settings, Devices,Printer/Scanner, to find and connect to the printer. I then uninstalled the UPD and install the recommended 6230  printer driver. All is now working fine.

Hi@Zeno36, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand that notebook has an issue with the printer not connecting to notebooks.
