As I tried HP hardware diagnostics, it asked for updating my UEFI diagnostics tool. I downloaded the update from HP Center, , while installing it, it announced, "Error 2753 is not marked for installation.". I tried it twice, and I got the same message.
Please provide any solution so I can proceed with the needed diagnostics as I woudl like to have back the sound working on my PC.
Thank you in advance

Hi @Paka19,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering an issue with updating your UEFI diagnostics tool on your HP ENVY X360 laptop. The error message "Error 2753 is not marked for installation" typically indicates a problem with the installation package or a conflict with existing software.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:
- Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches. Restart your laptop and try running the update again.
- Download the Update Again: It's possible that the update file you downloaded is corrupted. Try downloading the update again directly from the HP Support website to ensure you have a clean copy.
- Check System Requirements: Ensure that the update you're trying to install is compatible with your system. Make sure you're downloading the correct version for your laptop model and operating system.
- Run as Administrator: Right-click on the installation file and select "Run as administrator" to give it elevated permissions. This may help overcome any permission issues preventing the installation.
- Disable Antivirus/Firewall: Sometimes, antivirus or firewall software can interfere with installations. Temporarily disable any antivirus or firewall software you have running and try installing the update again.
- Use Microsoft's Fix It Tool: Microsoft offers a Fix It tool that can help resolve installation issues. You can find it on Microsoft's support website. Run the tool and follow the prompts to see if it can fix the problem.
By following these steps, you should hopefully be able to resolve the error and update your UEFI diagnostics tool so you can proceed with the needed diagnostics to fix the sound issue on your laptop.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
