I am experiencing persistent connectivity issues with my printer. While the device appears to be connected to the network (the status light is blue), my computer and other devices do not recognize it as being online.

I have already performed the following troubleshooting steps without success:

  • Power cycle: Unplugged the printer from the power source for several minutes before restarting.

  • Network sync: Restarted both the Wi-Fi router and the printer simultaneously.

  • Network reset: Attempted a full reset of the printer's network settings.

Currently, the only way I can print is by connecting the device directly via a USB cable. Could you please advise on what might be causing this wireless communication failure and how to resolve it?

That error code can indicate a hardware problem as discussed here by a friendly AI bot

----------the following is a guess---------

Your printer is waking up from sleep and getting a different IP address from the Wi-Fi system it is connected to. It is online but your PC has an old address. It is like someone changing their phone number and not telling you. The quickest way to solve this is to print directly to the printer using Wi-Fi direct. Alternately go into the modem / router and have the DHCP server assign a fixed IP address for each device at your location. That way they never change.

Try the Wi-Fi direct video below.  Do not reset or install drivers as they are already there.

You may need to reset the printer: Click here

For Wi-Fi direct setup click here.
This is useful if you do not have access to the router or you want to avoid using the router and print directly to the printer.

Simple push button or WPS setup is described on page 28 of User Manual
