I have a HP LaserJet M110w that refuses to allow me to print. Message in HP Smart app is: "A problem has occurred and you will be unable to print until this issue is resolved. etc". I've reset the printer several times and now it comes up with a Error Code: OW_4XX_OWSWS00001 when I try to accept the terms and conditions. I can't stand this proprietary HP software. Any way we can bypass it?
Any help appreciated as I just want to print without the pain of this HP interference. Full error I get in T&C:
Unable to register the printer to your account
We might be experiencing a technical issue.
Select Get Support for assistance and to resolve this issue.
In the meantime, make sure your printer is powered on and your mobile device or computer and printer are connected to the Internet.

Hi @Bbbbbbbb27,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are facing an issue with your printer that has an error.
A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.
1) Take out the cartridges
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges
B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day

Hi there. I've followed your instructions and it made no difference. The firmware is the latest version and the only item it will print is a report that states "Printer cannot print. A problem has occurred and you will be unable to print except for reports until the issue is resolved. Check your HP account for more information"... Etc
In the app I see the printer but it tells me and error has occurred and I need to log into my HP account on the home screen to see my status. In my account I currently have no printer added. It states doing a factory reset which I've tried.
This is so frustrating. Something with the HP account is stopping the printer from work. It's a printer and it should be way more easy to work with. Is there anyway I can remove the HP software from the process as this is the pain point.
Thanks

I've done another factory reset on the printer. The final set is where it fails and states it is unable to register the printer to my account.
I've taken some screenshots and added them to Google photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/fzHwz72xyxwJEjtC8

Thanks for the follow up. I ended up creating a new HP account, however I ran into the same error code while adding the printer. What did work was doing a "restore defaults" reset from within service section within the printer web interface. I added a screenshot to the shared photos folder from my earlier message. While I had done several rests from holding down the WiFi button as per your instructions and what I read online, there is obviously something different in the other option.

What worked for me was using an Android phone with the HP smart app and then enabling the setting under app settings > use 5hz wifi (it's at the bottom ) after that I was finally able to finish the setup, hope it helps, nothing else worked for me
