HP LaserJet Pro M404dw does not work. I got a message: "A problem succeeds with a critical system file. An updated printer will be installed to fix the problem."
Does anyone have an idea how to solve it?

That sounds like some error you get on your computer. If that is the case, you can remove the printer, remove printer driver, restart computer and install driver back.
If that does not resolve the issue you can try with a different driver like Universal Print driver if you have a Windows computer. Universal Print Driver can be found on https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-universal-print-driver-series-for-windows/415732...
