MacBook Pro
Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

Hi,

I have MacBook Pro (15 inch, Late 2008), OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5. I failed to install my new printer, HP Ink Tank Wireless 410 series. I used HP Easy Start, and successfully downloaded and installed the printer software, but then I received this message: “Cannot configure the device software. Go back to the previous step and try to install the software again”. But it kept give this message even after re- install the software. I tried the installation using USB and WiFi. I can print the Quality Diagnostic and the Status Report. Please not that the printer CD is not working.

Please advise me what to do in clear steps as I am not expert.

Thanks

@Saif6, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Do you have any antivirus/security software installed on your computer? If yes, disable it and then try installing the printer.

Also, you can try adding the printer using Airprint drivers. Here is how you do it-

Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.

Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners

Click the Plus sign, and then click Add Printer or Scanner.

Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint.

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

Click Add to add the printer to the list.

Try to print.

Keep me posted for further assistance.
