Hi @JusticeM,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for reaching out! The Event Code F0.02.05.10 you're seeing on your new HP printer typically indicates a firmware-related issue, not a hardware fault.
Recommended Steps to Resolve Event Code F0.02.05.10
1. Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer using the power button.
- Unplug it from the wall for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check if the error clears and the printer reaches a “Ready” state.
2. Update the Printer Firmware
If the error persists:
- Visit the HP support page for your printer model.
- Download and install the latest firmware update using a USB or the HP Smart app.
3. Perform a Factory Reset
If the firmware update doesn’t resolve the issue:
- On the printer control panel, go to:
- Menu > Tools > Maintenance > Restore Settings > Restore Factory Defaults
- Or access the Embedded Web Server (EWS) via your browser:
- Navigate to the printer’s IP address > General > Restore Default Settings
⚠️ Note: A factory reset will remove all custom settings, including Wi-Fi and preferences.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
