Every time when I open HP Smart a message is there to go for the latest OS on my tablet.

When I open HP Smart on my tablet under Android 8.1.0 a message is on the screen "OS update required". My tablet runs the latest Android OS. What I did so far: empty cache and data, uninstall HP Smart, install HP Smart, add a WiFi Printer (my old HP 2675) was able to print one beautiful test page from HP and when I thought everything is okay, there was the message again and pressing exit on the message throws me out of HP Smart,

According to the documentation, your tablet is not running the minimum supported version of Android for HP Smart.
