HP ENVY 5644 e-All-in-One Printer

My printer says expired. I had a new ink for my old printer and tried to use that but won't let me. I took it out and it won't let me sign up for insta ink with this printer. I can't print out anything even the code. How do I get this printer connected to hp instant ink? It's connected via wifi and plugged into my desk top. I been trying for 2 weeks to get this cleared up.

Hi @WitchyGlam,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

That sounds frustrating! Let's try to troubleshoot this. First, make sure you're using genuine HP ink cartridges. If you've already done that and it's still not working, try updating your printer's firmware. You can usually find this in the printer settings.

If that doesn't work, try a hard reset. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait a minute, and then plug it back in. Turn it on and see if the issue persists.

To reset your printer to its factory settings, follow these steps.

  1. Turn on the printer and wait for it to become idle.
  2. Press and hold the Power button on the printer for at least 15 seconds.
  3. Release the Power button and wait for the printer to turn off.
  4. Turn on the printer and wait for it to become idle again.
  5. Try signing up for HP Instant Ink again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
