Hi @JU9f8p7f9qzu,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Performing a factory reset on your HP Laser MFP 136w will erase all the settings and return the printer to its default state. Please note that this process may vary slightly depending on the printer model, and it's important to consult the user manual for your specific device for accurate instructions. Here are general steps that you can follow.

  • Turn off the Printer: Make sure the printer is turned off.
  • Press and Hold Buttons: Press and hold the "Cancel" button and the "Wireless" button simultaneously.
  • Turn on the Printer: While still holding down the buttons, turn on the printer.
  • Hold Buttons for 10 Seconds: Keep holding down the buttons for about 10 seconds, or until the LEDs on the control panel start blinking.
  • Release Buttons: Release the "Cancel" and "Wireless" buttons.
  • Wait for Reset: Allow the printer to complete the reset process. The printer may restart during this time.

After the factory reset, you will need to set up your printer again, including connecting it to your wireless network, if applicable.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi  @Alden4 the operation you shared with me is not working. Could you please share with me how to write the firmware from hp Website to my printer in download mode ??

The instructions of using the Embedded Software Service and USB methods are not working. I need to write the firmware in download mode only.
