Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to perform a factory reset on the HP Color Laser MFP 178nwg, follow these steps:

Turn On the Printer: Make sure the printer is powered on.

Access the Menu:

  • On the printer's control panel, press the Home button (if available) to access the main menu.

Navigate to Settings:

  • Use the arrow keys to navigate to the Setup or Settings menu. This may also be labeled as Setup Menu.

Select Service Menu:

  • Navigate to Service or Service Menu. This option may be found under Settings or Administration.

Perform the Factory Reset:

  • Look for an option like Restore Defaults, Reset All Settings, or Factory Reset.
  • Confirm the selection if prompted.

Complete the Reset:

  • The printer will initiate the reset process, which may take a few minutes. Wait for the printer to restart.

Reconfigure Printer Settings:

  • After the reset, you may need to reconfigure the printer settings like network connections, paper sizes, and other preferences.
