Hi @Chris0372,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to reset your HP DeskJet 3750 All-in-One Printer to factory settings and address the password issue, follow these steps:
Step 1: Reset Printer Settings
- Turn off the printer: Disconnect the power cable and wait 30 seconds.
- Access the reset menu:
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button on the printer simultaneously.
- While holding these buttons, reconnect the power cable and turn on the printer.
- Wait for the reset process: The printer's lights may flash during this process. Release the buttons when they stop flashing.
Step 2: Default Password
- If the printer is in Wi-Fi Direct mode, its default password is often printed on a sticker on the printer (e.g., inside the cartridge access door or on the back).
- If no password works, the factory reset should remove any custom password and restore the default.
Step 3: Use HP Smart App HP printer setup (HP Smart app)
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Connect to the printer via Wi-Fi Direct or through your network.
- Check the printer’s settings in the app. You can update or reset the password under the Advanced Settings or Network Settings sections.
Step 4: Perform a Semi-Full Reset (if needed)
- Access Reset Mode:
- Unplug the printer without turning it off first.
- Hold the Power button and reconnect the power cord simultaneously.
- Release the Power button after the printer turns on.
- Wait for the printer to reboot fully.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
