Hi, 

 

To protect the printer on the network I've setup the password for accessing the admin page.

When applied I could not enter anymore. It simply refuses to accept it.

 

I've read the posts of others who had similar experience and result is that I have to do factory reset.

I've tried:
Unpluging the printer and waiting for 2 minutes then pressing Cancel (X) button with Wifi button, then plugin power on and releasing it when Attention light flashes. I've released as soon as the first light appears and as the second time appears. It will not start factory reset.

Combination of the buttons: Cancel + Undo gives Download mode

Cancel + Power gives Download mode

 

Combination of other buttons had no result.

 

I've upgraded firmware to 3.82.1.25 with the help of the HP ReleaseNotes that has instructions how to flash.

But still I cannot login to admin page.

 

I would need help on factory reseting the device.
