A while ago, I changed the admin password on my printer, but have been unable to get back into the printer since. (I used a 32-character password with special characters, but it's not accepting the password I changed it to.)
I need to change the WiFi password for the printer, but cannot do so because I cannot login. Is it possible to perform a factory reset of this printer without an admin password?
Thanks for your assistance.
(BTW: There are many other forum entries for this, but the instructions were sent privately, which seems to defeat the purpose of a public forum. I would be grateful if you could post the full instructions as part of a reply to this post, rather than in a private reply, for the benefit of everyone else with this issue. Thanks!)

Hi @thesimulator,
I'd like to help!
We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
