HP LaserJet Pro 4001dne Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been trying to set up a printer to no avail.

I couldn't circumvent the need to have an account with HP to get this printer on the network. (even though multiple threads here say that you dont need one) so I downloaded HP Easy Start to get it on the network that since the printer would not even give me prompts on its screen to continue setup independent of HP account creation otherwise.

It gave me an IP on the setup screen, but then failed to print the activation code. So now I am out of options, since I cant do anything else

I tried this:

  1. Turn the product off. Disconnect the power cable from the product for 30 seconds and then reconnect.
  2. Turn the product on

I want to know if there is a way to factory reset this model, since I cant do that from EWC, because even though I have its IP, the EWS is locked out because i need to activate it, but I cant activate it, because it fails to give me an activation code.

Printer is HP LaserJet Pro 4001dne

As I mentioned, I've already performed the setup steps and its failing. I wanted to know if there was a way to factory reset the printer. HP Easy Start is not working nor is printing the activation code (Which I dont know why I need in the first place)
