Hello,

I have trouble installing my printer with a wireless connection.

When running HP Easy Setup it doesn't find the printer unless I connect with USB. Then if I try to setup wireless using USB it configures correctly network but after that it asks to unplug USB. After unplugging it still asks the same after few seconds.

I configured the printer + scanner correctly with USB and then configured wifi network. The technical page shows wifi working correctly and bonjour enabled, but I can't add the wireless printer in the system preferrences printer&scanner menu as it finds none.

I'm able to add printer manually by putting it's IP address and choosing HP Jetdirect - that works fine - but I don't see an option to add the scanner the same method.

Please advise

Hi,

Apple devices use Bonjour which require your network to support multicasting too.

I suggest verifying with your router service provider that the latest firmware is installed for your router, as well verify that your router supports Bonjour and if a such might need to be enabled within your router configuration first.

If you may use any wireless range extended, please ensure that both your printer and Mac are connected to the main router with a good wifi signal, using any such extender or repeater may break the Bonjour connection too.
