Hello!

I´ve been trying to install my printer in my computer, but on the stage of the intaller that asks to connect to the USB it takes much longer than it should, than after ages (30 -50 min), when it's on 99%, it crashes dislpaying this massage:Crashed after 99%Crashed after 99%After ages (30 - 50 min)After ages (30 - 50 min)

The printer actually worked and intalled correctly on the first time I intalled it. But after sometime it was always offline. Now, after at least 2 total reintalation of windows it just don't work. Only the scanner works.

I am using a USB cable without filtering, less than 3 meter long.

I've tried cleaning the registry with CCleaner, deleting all I can on "%temp%" and "temp", intalling the driver in compatibility mode, and trying with only one stick of RAM. I've tried multiple usb ports, all in failure.

I have some intalation logs.txt that I saw on the temp drives, but i am unable to post them here.

I am completely updated to the newest version of Windows (I went to the official microsoft page and intalled the updater)

The printer worked on a windows 7 notebook that I borrowed. The scanner works fine and the copying too. But it seens that the computer just doesn't recognize the printer.

When I tried with a 3 meters long USB cable appears a "USB not recognized" massage.

I am lost know and I really need help.

Thank you.

I've actually fixed the issue, all i had to do was to run the command prompt in admin mode,

than run the command: "pnputil.exe -e" after looking for all the "HP" and "Hewlett Packard" drivers I unistalled all of them using the command:

"pnputil.exe -d oem#inf", when the # is the number of the drivers with "HP" or "Hewlett Packard".

After that just restart the PC and try to reintall the driver aplication. (I prayed a little bit)

Hi I would like to assist to the best of my ability to solve your problem.I hope the information i supply will be of help.Just for information some technical information is protected by HP and is not allowed to be answered. This is unfortunate and you will have to contact a HP repair shop for the help in this case.I would un install all HP drivers from computer and the restart a fresh installation of the printer without the usb connected.Once the installation ask for the usb connection connect the device to your computer.Try to use a usb 2.0 cable as short as 1.8m.Hope this will help.

Lets try again.I tried to find some more ideas to reset the printer but no luck. This is just a idea i would have tried.Maybe on the formatter board there is a battery backup that you can try to remove to clear memory.I don't know this model to be sure.Alternative you will have to contact HP support.Hope this will help.
