Hi,
I did as you said. When I tried to Repair the the HP Officejet Pro 6970 Basic Device Software
I get the message:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package ‘OJ697x64.msi’ in the box below.
The box now contains:
C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS4645\
Which doesn’t exist (other similar directories are there), for example:
7zS46F4 which contains OJ697x64.msi.
Should I run that? (Date is 4/7/2018)
How to proceed?
Thanks,
Peter

Hi Peter,
Enter into the latest "7z" folder which contains an OJ697x64.msi file.
Right click on OJ697x64.msi, select Repair and then continue following the rest of the steps in my previous post.

I did all this, but the result is the same. It does the Network Check, tells me to connect to the router using an ethernet cable, checks the network again, is unable to find the device, I enter the correct IP and it finds it amd connects (The software is installed and your device is connected). But the correct (Full Featured) software is not installed. Moreover, the device is now listed as: Fax - HP OfficeJet Pro 6970
