Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just purchased a MFP M227 laser jet pro printer. The fax function let me set up one phone book entry but I need to change the phone number and set up a 2nd entry. I can't figure out why it's not letting me access the phone number on the one I set up and how to add a 2nd fax number to the speed dial funciton.

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand you need help setting up the fax phone book on your HP printer,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Have you checked the user guides for the details?

While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:

Use the control panel to create and edit the fax phone book

1. From the Home screen on the product control panel, touch the Fax button.

2. Touch the Fax Menu button.

3. Touch the Phone Book Setup button.

4. Touch the Individual Setup button or the Group Setup button to create a speed dial entry.

5. Touch an unassigned number from the list.

6. Use the keypad to enter a name for the entry, and then touch the OK button.

7. Use the keypad to enter the fax number for the entry, and then touch the OK button

(By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)

Thanks Riddle-Decipher - Although the procedure was a little different - with your instructions I was finally able to get the fax changes and additions to work. I appreciate the help! And yes I did look at the user manual but it wasn't much help!!!
