Files I can see under documents are not in the list offered once I click pint doc in HP Smart

I am trying to print a simple doc. When I go into windows documents, it is there, I can click on it and it opens. When I use HP Smart to attempt to print it. I click on the Print Doc icon and it takes me to my list and about half of them are missing. The folders are there but the individual doc toward the bottom area all missing.

What is the file type of the missing documents?

For example, HP Smart - Windows - can print PDF files and Photo /  Image files.

If the "missing" documents are files that you must open with Word or a word-type document editor,

then

Install the Full Feature Software

Print with printer software that understands Word-ish documents.

For example, open the document in Word and print the document.
