Product: HP LaserJet P2055dn Printer
Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

Since upgrading to Monterey on my Mac, I can no longer print to my Laserjet. I get the message "Filter Faild

ed" . I have removed and reinstalled printer, and repaired drive with disk utilities, with no luck. It works if I use a generic driver, but I can't use my additional trays with that.

 

suggestions?

Hi,

Please make sure your macOS is fully up to date by installing any update for your macOS:

Next, uninstall any existing HP Software by following the HP Uninstaller Utility below:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/HP_Uninstaller...

 

Next, download and install the latest drivers below:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?locale=en_US

 

Finally,  open System Preferences, and then open Printers & Scanners to re-add your printer. be sure to select the printer model within the Use drop-down menu.
