I have been seeing unsuccessful firmware update messages on my ENVY 4527 printer for a few weeks but as its kept working I've ignored the message. I have now had the instant ink email warning me to update the firmware or my account will be cancelled so need to get it sorted.
I have tried every way possible - printer set up, eservices, windows laptop both wifi and usb wired and phone HP Smart App.
All methods download the firmware file and install it. The printer screen then says update successful printer will restart which it does but then displays the message the previous update was unsuccessful and advises to try again.
I sometimes get the error code 83C0002B NOS_LOADER_APP when the printer restarts if I'm trying to install from my laptop but not by the other methods.
I've tried all methods numerous times but nothing works. I'm still on firmware version CFP1FN1515AR.
Hi I followed the process you messaged to me to reset the printer but it has not solved the problem.
The reset went fine. I turned the printer back on and reconnected to my wifi all fine then tried to update the firmware again from the printer touchscreen and got the same result as before - download fine, installation/update successful, printer automatically restarts - update unsuccessful, printer restarts and advises to try again.
once again I've also tried via HP Smart App, web services and downloading file to laptop (restart when via laptop gives me the error code 83C0002B but restarting the printer clears this.
I'm still on firmware versionCFP1FN1515AR what can I do now?
