Laserjet Pro MFP M177FW
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I am trying to update the firmware on my Laserjet Pro MFP M177FW but with no success.

I have downloaded the HP software onto my iMac running OS X 10.11 and also downloaded the firmware updater but when I try to open the updater it just closes straight away saying an error has occured.

I am trying to do all of this as when printing I'm not getting the correct colours as shown on the screen.

Can someone please help me as I really need this to work.

I'm trying to launch the firmware updater but get this error:  “HP Firmware Updater” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
