The firmware on these models is upgraded with the Firmware upgrade utility. You run it on a workstation on the network the printer is attached to and it will go out and find all attached compatible models and then ask which ones you want to upgrade, so as long as you can peform a remote session on a system on the network, yes you can remote upgrade firmware.
