HP ENVY Inspire 7255e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I called HP Support regarding my new printer printing gibberish on its own and was transferred to Geeks.

They tried a fast talking scam on me like another revirw I read on the board.

They told me my laptop was infected and that it needed fixing, a new firewall and long term “supervision “. I explained I had Aura security and windows Defender but they convinced me that:

1. They fixed the problem with printing

2. They did help me to login to HP SUPPORT

3. They told me my laptop was now clean and they would monitor it.

Several hours later the printer began with the gibberish they claimed to have cured. I also confirmed my Aura and Defender were fully up to the task.

i requested a refund the next day but was transferred to the same tech I had talked with and who LIED that my software was not sufficient. I stopped my check to them and won’t even give them a 1 star review.BEWARE!!!

I am sorry that happened.

Whomever you contacted was not HP Support.

There are thousands of scam sites on the Internet - they are sneaky, fancy, and so, so convincing.

If you let the thieves into your computer, you might have bigger problems than a cancelled check.

HP Support does not post free-to-find phone numbers on the Internet,

HP Support does not transfer you to scammers and thieves,

HP Support does not threaten, promise, lie, beg, or cajole,

HP Support does not sneak into your computer,

HP Support does not track you,

HP Support does not sell any products to clear your computer of imaginary bugs.

HP Support requires that you submit your online in-Warranty Repair request to the proper channel for your region.

Contact HP Support – Printer Support

HP Support – Hardware / Technical Support for Devices in Warranty

Registered Devices in Warranty:

Select a method and contact HP Support

Open website  HP World-Wide Support

Select your region and follow the prompts

Regional Links

 USA / Canada >   HP® Customer Support - USA

 UK >  HP® Customer Support - UK

 ---------------------------------------------------

Reminders - READ

Case submission to HP Support is available to those whose devices registered and are still in Warranty.

Some regions display phone / chat contact information only after the case is submitted online

Not every issue is covered under the standard Hardware Warranty.  Purchased Care Pack Warranties differ by contract.

HP is not a "general" repair facility: Requests for out-of-warranty repairs are usually not accepted.

If the problem is hardware, if your device is in Warranty, if your device is Registered, and you cannot submit your case to Support, let us know and we will forward a request.

Important

HP Phone numbers you find on the Internet have likely been hijacked. Old HP phone numbers – those numbers no longer used by HP since the move to “online” case submissions – might have been taken over by thieves.

Do not be a victim.

Stay vigilant.
