My new printer has the same issue as the old HP printer.
Windows says a software updated needs to be downloaded. After pressing the button to download this message appears: Install error - 0x800f020b

Hi @okiausa,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're encountering an error (0x800f020b) while trying to download a software update for your HP DeskJet 2755e All-In-One Printer on Windows. This error code typically indicates an issue with the installation process. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your computer has a stable internet connection. Sometimes, download errors occur due to connectivity issues.
Run Windows Update Troubleshooter: Use the built-in Windows Update Troubleshooter to identify and fix any issues with the update process. To do this:
- Press Windows key + I to open Settings.
- Go to "Update & Security" > "Troubleshoot."
- Run the "Windows Update" troubleshooter.
Manually Download and Install the Update: Instead of relying on the automatic update, you can visit the HP support website, search for your printer model, and manually download the latest software and drivers. Then, install them on your computer.
Check System Requirements: Ensure that your computer meets the system requirements for the printer software. Sometimes, installation issues can occur if the system requirements are not met.
Disable Antivirus/Firewall: Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall software and attempt to download and install the update again. Sometimes, security software can interfere with the installation process.
Clear Temporary Files: Clear temporary files on your computer, as they might be causing conflicts with the installation. You can use the built-in Disk Cleanup tool for this.
Update Windows: Make sure your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Install any pending Windows updates before attempting to update your printer software.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
