HP DeskJet 3755
iOS

When I select to print something, no printer shows up.  When I try to select the HP DeskJet 3755 is there but when I select it tries but will not accept.  The iPad is identical to previous one which worked.

Hi @HabinNorth,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with printing from your iPad to your HP DeskJet 3755 and the printer is not being recognized or accepted, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Make sure that your HP DeskJet 3755 is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPad.
  • Ensure that there are no connectivity issues with the Wi-Fi network.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both your iPad and the HP DeskJet 3755. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Update iOS:

  • Ensure that your iPad is running the latest version of iOS. Sometimes, compatibility issues can be resolved with software updates.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP DeskJet 3755. You can usually find this information on the HP support website.

Reinstall Printer on iPad:

  • Delete the existing printer from your iPad and try adding it again. To do this, go to "Settings" > "Printers" on your iPad, select the HP DeskJet 3755, and choose to remove or forget the printer. Then, re-add it.

Reset Printing System:

  • On your iPad, go to "Settings" > "Printers" > "Print Center."
  • Tap on the printer icon and hold until you see the option to "Reset Printing System."
  • Confirm the reset and then try adding the HP DeskJet 3755 again.

Check Printer Queue:

  • Open the printer queue on your iPad and ensure that there are no pending or stuck print jobs. Cancel any print jobs that may be causing issues.

Check for App Updates:

  • If you are trying to print from a specific app, make sure that the app is up to date. Developers often release updates to improve compatibility.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thanks for your reply.  Before I got this I tried rebooting both printer and iPad.  This worked.  I see it is one of your suggestions.

I reviewed the rest of your suggestions.  I note that my iPad does not have a “settings - printer “ choice so this would not work.  Can you check this.  My iPad is  iPad 4th generation Air running iPadOS 17.2.
