H470 mobile printer - Each print job will print only half of the first page, then print multiple pages of only a few garbled symbols at the top of each page. Have to shut the printer off to stop it as cancelling the job will not stop it from printing. I reloaded the software and drivers from HP site, but made no difference. The HP test page prints out correctly. Now getting a pop up box that the USB port has malfunctioned. Tried all three ports with same message. My desktop Brother laser printer prints with no issues.

Please try these steps - HP Printers - Unexpected Text Prints (Windows)
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Let me know how that goes 🙂

I went through the steps in the "Unexpected Text Prints" instructions from you. It seems to be working fine now. I printed from the internet, from the desktop and using several programs. All came out fine. Thank you for your help. I very much appreciated it.
