After life's complications {3 heart attacks, triple bypass surgery, losing job of 33 years, losing my home, divorce, homelessness, all within a year) I got this printer from a grant after covid lockdown. shipping was slow and had little energy to attempt to start my art business after everything hat had happen to me. I thought of giving up, but recently had a change of heart. I know the printer is out of warranty

I tried to set the printer up but is hasn't worked. I attempted to use USB (preferred) but to no avail. tried with WIFI and Bluetooth. it kept telling me that it couldn't print because the cartridge had a paper jam. I haven't even ran a single sheet of paper through it. I've read most of the articles and viewed the vids that I thought pertinent, but its not clicking with me. After this past week of trying, I am frustrated, depressed and thinking of throwing in the towel. This is my last stand. I need help (it is hard to ask). I am not sure how to proceed. Sorry to unload problems but selling my art has been a lifelong dream and i'm not getting any younger. I need help. Thank You

Unbox and Inspect

  • Ensure Packaging Materials Are Removed: Double-check that all shipping materials (tape, packing inserts) have been removed from the printer.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Look inside the printer for any bits of paper or foreign objects that might be causing the jam error. Open the paper tray and scanner lid to check thoroughly.

Reset the Printer

  • Power Off: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait a Minute: Leave it unplugged for about a minute to clear any temporary errors.
  • Plug Back In and Power On: Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check Cartridge and Paper Tray

  • Reinstall Cartridges: Remove the ink cartridges and reinstall them. Ensure they are securely in place.
  • Paper Tray: Make sure the paper tray is properly aligned and that the paper is loaded correctly. Try using a fresh stack of paper.

Printer Firmware Update

  • Connect to Wi-Fi or Network: Connect the printer to your network if it's not already connected.
