HOW DO I GET RID OF HP app -NOTHING WORKS NOW

ever since i downloaded that hp app ***bleep***... app my printer cant find my computer to scan to computer. 2) when i try to print i have to go thru this whole crazy process of opening up the app and try TO PRINT FROM THERE. I WANT TO GET RID OF THE HP app  ... HOW DO I DO THAT

Welcome to the HP User Community.

HP Smart is an application.

If you do not yet have done so,

Install the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software.

After the full driver printer software is installed,

If you wish to do so,

Uninstall HP Smart from Settings > Apps > Apps and Features

Download and Run

HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software 

Skip whatever you don't want - if it asks again, "Skip" until it believes you.

When you are asked, Select the Full Driver printer software

If it says, "Yeah, but HP Smart is better", ignore it and opt for the Full Driver.

If you are not sure whether the full driver installed - check the installation list afterwards.

If it does show listed but the Printer Assistant won't open, Restart the computer and log in.

After the full driver software is installed, it will be listed in Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features.

After the full printer software is loaded, you can use HP Scan (for scanning), print from other programs, use the Printer Assistant to scan or print (just as much work as opening an App but there we are).

When the website support page opens, Select (as available) a Category > Topic > Subtopic
