Hello,
Today my printer stopped working for Airprint and could not restore connection with my phone. Installed the HP smart application.
It detects the printer, connects to my WiFi but then the printer is not found when I have to manually add it to the list of printers.
I have also tried adding the printer by IP but it only detects it as a generic postscript printer and does not print.

Please try restarting the router as suggested and check if you may see any difference then, please do let me know how it goes.

Hi,
May you had any network change recently?
Generally I would suggest restarting your router first, following its restart when the internet connection returns restart the printer and the Mac computer too and check if the Bonjour connection resumes, both AirPrint or the HP Smart app relies of Bonjour, and from your description I would suspect the router do not allow a proper multicasting communication which Bonjour services relies on.
