Installation of HP250 will not complete. Cannot install and then sends me to scanner and printer and nothing is there. HP Smart knows it is there, knows ink levels but will not finish installation. I can't even remove it because nowhere does system (windows 11) know it exists. I cannot seem to be able to get the driver. I have a similar, actually same, problem with another HP printer.

Hi @Covey1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand that you are facing installation issues with your HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One Printer.
Please follow the steps listed below to uninstall and reinstall HP Smart App:
Step 1: Uninstall HP Smart App.
1. Navigate to and open Settings
2. Select Apps or Application Manager from the device Settings
3. Select HP Smart
4. Select Uninstall
Step 2: Reinstall HP Smart App.
1. Download the HP Smart app from 123.hp.com (Android, Apple iOS, iPad OS),
or HP Smart - Microsoft Store (Windows),
or HP Smart - Mac App Store (Mac).
2. Open the HP Smart app.
3. The app searches for recently installed printers.
- If your printer displays, click it. If you are setting up a new printer, it might display with Set-Up under the name.
- If your printer does not display, click the Plus sign, and then follow the on-screen prompts to add your printer or set up a new printer.

Hi Rainbow23, Thank you for your suggested solution. Unfortunately, I performed those operations previously and as mentioned above, it will not install. I just redid the whole operation following your instructions in detail, with the same result. It looks for the driver, gives up and refers me to scanners and printers. When I go to that page, my printer does not appear so I cannot install it from there either. I did click on add device anyway and it takes the click but never responds with anything. If I go to HP Smart, the printer appears there showing ink levels, etc. but it just never installs. BTW, I am operating on Windows 11. When I upgraded, I could no longer print. The suggestion was to uninstall the printer and reinstall. I was able to uninstall it but have not ever been able to reinstall. Horribly frustrating!!
Thanks again though, for trying to help.
