Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is a very frustrating issue. My HP 3630 printer keeps printing an old file and I don't know how to stop it. This has badly messed up my ability to use my printer.

When I first tired to print the document, the printer failed to print the whole file. Of 17 pages, it only managed to print 12 and it got stuck. I cancelled the print job and tried again, but the same thing happened. I tired a few more times doing the same thing, but the full document never printed out. So I cancelled the job and moved on to print something else. But now the printer doesn't work at all.

I tired the trouble shooter. When the trouble shooter ran, the document I wanted to print out printed...followed by the old file I cancled. this file does not appear in any print queue. It just prints out.  So I turn the printer off, but when it turns out, it spits out the old file (always getting stuck in page 12, which freezes the printer. Cancelling the job using the X button on the printer stop the job, but then I cannot print anything else.)

SO then I tried turned the printer on and off, unplugging it, even resetting it to factory default. But the same problem happens. I tired following a tutorial, by going into the services and shutting down the print spool and rebooting the computer. (I know it says to go to the windows/system/spool/printer and delete the job in there, but that folder is ALWAYS empty) Same problem happens after I start up. I tired the HP print and scan doctor, but it cannot fix the problem.

Everything I have tired has failed. The printer just keeps spitting out this file for a reason I cannot explain. I cannot stop it from doing so, and I cannot print anything.

Please help.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Let me know if this helps.
