Our college has printers on contract with Xerox/ESI and all printers, no matter the brand (HP, Brother, Xeros, Ricoh) all report through their managed services auditing except the newer HP LJ 4301. Does anyone know why or what is blocking a managed service from being able to reach these printers through the network? All 10 printers we've added have yet to report since October 2023, when we added the first HP 4301 printer. Typically they read toner levels and billing but something seems to be completely blocking this and they seem stumped. Please help!

What 10 HP printers model work ? HP 4301 is not a managed model.

Sorry, no, we've added about 10 of the HP 4301's to the contract and none will report. Just about any other HP model reports just fine (HP M404, M611, M454, M255, P1606, M479, M428, OJ 8610, etc etc. ) Thanks for the response

Check the firmware version and update one device to see will it makes any difference, the latest version is

All of the major vendors spend their time trying to block other vendors management systems so that you are forced to use theirs and also to limit access to IP (intellectual property) embedded in their MIBS and honestly Xerox is going to expend very little effort in making their product talk to HP's, better way to force you to buy their products. HP  Web Jetadmin will give full access to supplies and management of the 4301s.

Already updated the firmware to the latest version, makes no difference for these to report.
