HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I own a HP 4650 OfficeJet All-In-One since 2017 (colour inkjet, front/rear automatic printing).

I first installed it on a PC with WinXP, then on another with Win8.1, then upgraded to Win10. Never had a problem with drivers. All features workied fine with no special effort/configuration. PCs were always HP.

Recently I have been gifted of a new laptop by Lenovo with native Win11. I downloaded the Win11 drivers from HP center, and installed them. But these drivers have serious issues:

1) front/rear automatic printing feature is lost

2) printer prints only in black and white from the PC

3) "printing properties" menu gives an error and blocks the PC

I have installed and reintalled the drivers at least 10 times, cleaning always register with Revo Unistaller and Wise Cleaner. Nothing changes.

Is anybody able to help? Thanks.

Hi@CarlaP42,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing few issues with the HP OfficeJet 4650 All-In-One Printer on Windows 11. I apologize for the Inconvenience.

I have a few recommendations

  • Uninstall then reinstall the printer software and drivers to continue using the printer.
  • Download and install the latest printer software and drivers from 123.hp.com.
  • Click this link if your printer is supported in Windows 11, as well as the compatible software and drivers available to download. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4839960-4840167-16
  • As the Printer works fine on other PC's so should be an issue with the settings on the new PC.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
