Hello, I am trying to assist a friend in setting up his 6055 to print from 2 laptops wirelessly. Both are windows 10 32 bit. Have followed instructions using the HP Smart app and both computers indicate ready in the connection status and both have solid purple wireless indicator connection. However, only one computer can print. In other cases, the options present to print for preferences, however when clicking print, nothing happens. It seems that once the setup is done on the second printer, then the first computer will not complete print jobs. Have updated drivers and run the HP diagnostic tools, but no luck. Any thoughts?

Hi @Potsman
Resetting the Printer wifi and trying again would be a good start, though tedious.
Start with the HP Smart on one PC and then again on the other PC.
The HP FULL software can always be installed later.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Support Community.
Are both computers connected to the printer using HP Smart app? The printer only needs to be added to the network once, thereafter, any computer or phones only need to "Add printer" via HP Smart.
Alternatively, try installing the HP FULL software solution on the computers:

Hi, thank you very much for the reply. I will try the long solution. Its strange as I set both printers up with the Smart app, but did not use a cable and the status on both printers indicates green and ready, but only one will send print jobs to the printer and the other has the jobs hanging in the que. Also will mention that we cannot scan from either computer as an error is generated using the scan function in the smart app. Heading back over to my friends next saturday so will post an update on status.
quick question, can I use the long solution on both computers (set up the first using the cable and long solution software) and then connect the second and do the same?

Hi @Potsman
Yes, you can install the HP FULL software on both computers.
When one computer is set up, the 2nd computer need not use the USB cable as printer is already connected to the wireless network.
It should work, we're able to print to the HP Envy Pro 6455 (similar to the 6055 except with an automatic document feeder) with 3 computers - no issues and we have the HP Smart app as well as the FULL software solution on 2/3 computers.
Hope that helps!

hi guys, just a quick update and | apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, we had freezing rain last Saturday and I couldn't try the solution. Going to try again this weekend and will post the results. Thank you again to all of you for offering your assistance as it is greatly appreciated.

Hello again, still had no success getting printing working on both laptops. Everytime I get it going on the first machine, it seems to get corrupted when installing on the second. Interesting enough also, the printer isn't recognized when using a wired USB connection. It got in a loop when trying to verify the wifi network. For next, I am going to do a hard reset on the printer to wipe the settings back to factory, uninstall all software on both laptops and start fresh. the version of windows 10 is also in french which slows things down a bit as well given it is a second language to me.
One question, the second laptop had numerous printers installed before from a business (Cannon's and HP). would this cause issues if the software was not completely removed prior to install of the new Envy 6055 package?
